Contaminated Sulphur Remelter (CSR-575)
The design of the CSR-575 allows it to be versatile and compact (skid mounted) in order that it can be easily transported by truck, sea or rail. The self cleaning features and interactive process control system provide the capability of maintaining maximum throughput rates and de-contamination throughout a wide range of waste sulphur moisture and contaminate levels.
The nominal capacity of the CSR-575 is 25 TPH with feed sulphur moisture content of 2% and contaminate levels of 5%. The CSR-575 has the capability of processing clean sulphur at a higher throughput rate of 35 TPH. Self-cleaning features ensure optimum heat transfer and de-contamination capability under all conditions, while the control system maintains the process parameters within ideal ranges to get the most out of every kW of steam supplied by the customer.
The CSR-575 melts solid sulphur in a primary settling tank while heated liquid sulphur is re-circulated through the tank, aiding in the melting process. Any contaminates settle out of the molten sulphur and are continuously removed and concentrated via a sludge extraction conveyor.
The molten sulphur then flows to a secondary settling tank where more contaminates are removed prior to pumping through a two stage filtration system to remove the last of the entrained particulates.
The CSR-575 is controlled by a single Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), managing key parameters such as temperature, feed rate and tank levels through interdependent control loops, with additional analogue instrumentation monitoring other, non-critical parameters. The result is a steady-state operation at the highest levels of productivity and efficacy.
